Last month Google held a prestigious awards ceremony at their European headquarters in Dublin/Ireland where the winners of the best Premier Partner agencies (i.e. agencies that are among Google's largest partners in Europe, the Middle East and Africa) were announced in six disciplines.
The annual event focuses on projects that achieve outstanding results through the skilful use of Google products, for example smart bidding or particularly creative YouTube campaigns, to achieve and indeed overachieve advertisers marketing goals.
The coveted award was presented in the following categories:
- Brand Awareness
- Lead Generation
- Online Sales
- App Growth
- International Growth
- Workplace Excellence
We were delighted to learn at the end of August that our two entries in the Brand Awareness and Lead Generation categories had been selected as finalists for the Premier Partner Award. At this point, we had already won against hundreds of other agencies competing to appear at the finals. The crowning moment came in Dublin when we were called to the stage as the winner of the LeadGen category. This meant even more to us as we were the only German agency to take home an award this year.
Our submission related to the use of first-party and offline data boost the efficiency of an existing smart bidding concept. In concrete terms, we gave the Google algorithm high quality additional data enabling it to learn faster and optimise better. What may sound trivial at first, however, was a process that took several months. Hand in hand with our client, Creditplus Bank, and our partner Google, we developed a system that controled our campaigns robustly and highly efficiently in an extremely competitive environment. In addition to the amazing experience of taking part in such a prestigious awards ceremony, the Premier Partner Summit was a great opportunity to gather exciting insights and innovations through the various speakers on the topics of leadership, agency growth, privacy and design thinking held in Google's state-of-the-art innovation centre "The Foundry".
