Case Creditplus: 400 % more organic leads with targeted SEO
More than four times as many top 10 rankings with almost the same keyword reach. With two deliberately built content and traffic pillars, Creditplus raises its SEO visibility by 67 %, grows relevant areas against the declining trend of the overall domain and achieves 400 % more organic leads.

The challenge: more organic performance instead of simply more content
Creditplus operates in the finance sector, which Google classifies as YMYL: what counts there is not appearing somewhere for as many queries as possible, but being visible for the right topics in the positions where relevant traffic and business impact arise.
Added to this was a declining trend: the visibility of the overall domain fell by 14 % in the period under review. Organic growth therefore had to come against the development of the domain. Instead of broadening the keyword reach further, existing SEO potential was to be used more consistently and new relevant search intents opened up in a targeted way.
The solution: two new traffic pillars instead of content by the watering-can principle
At the center were two deliberately developed content areas: 20 loan amount pages for specific loan sizes, such as "50,000 € loan", and 40 finance guide URLs. Each URL serves a specific search intent and creates visibility where it can turn into economic value.
The 20 loan amount pages were built as a dedicated SEO cluster and connected through consistent internal linking. In parallel, the 40 guide pages extended the thematic finance coverage along the customer journey. The result was not a mass of content but a scalable SEO and content architecture that develops rankings systematically and serves as the basis for further stages of expansion. Not more content at any price, but more pages with a reason to rank.
The result: not more keywords. More of them at the very top.
Rankings: four times as many top 10 positions
The number of keywords in the Google top 100 stayed almost constant: 21,426 → 21,272. The number of top 10 rankings rose in the same period from 2,913 to 12,296. Creditplus thus reaches more than four times as many top 10 rankings with practically the same keyword reach. In parallel, the SEO visibility index according to Sistrix rose from 3.24 to 5.40, a gain of 67 %.
Existing and newly created topical relevance was consistently translated into better rankings. That is where the business impact comes from: the improved visibility and quality of the organic traffic led to 400 % more organic leads.
Growth against the trend of the overall domain
While the visibility of the overall domain declined by 14 % in the period under review, the new areas moved in the opposite direction according to Sistrix:
- +25 % visibility of the loan amount pages
- +12 % visibility of the guides
- –14 % visibility of the overall domain
The share of the new pages in organic traffic also rose from 24 % to 32 % according to GA4. After around twelve months they deliver almost a third of all organic traffic. The case also shows why looking at the overall domain alone falls short: even in a declining environment, deliberately developed content clusters create considerable growth, even in a sensitive and highly competitive YMYL sector such as finance.
Scalability: SEO becomes a more predictable growth model
After a maturing phase of around twelve months, a newly created page reaches an average of around 390 organic clicks per quarter. The figure cannot be transferred to any URL, because search volume, competition, search intent and content quality differ by topic. It is, however, a reliable benchmark for further stages of expansion.
This changes the central question. No longer: how do we produce more content? But: which additional topics and pages hold enough SEO and business potential to justify the next step of growth? That is exactly where content production turns into a scalable organic search approach.
The numbers at a glance
- 20 loan amount pages and 40 guide URLs as two new SEO traffic pillars
- 2,913 → 12,296 top 10 keywords with 21,426 → 21,272 top 100 keywords
- +67 % SEO visibility index, from 3.24 to 5.40
- +25 % loan amount pages, +12 % guides, –14 % overall domain
- share of the new pages in organic traffic from 24 % to 32 %
- ≈ 390 organic clicks per quarter per new page after around twelve months
- +400 % organic leads
Conclusion: not more reach. More impact.
Creditplus did not have to rank for ever more keywords. The right topics had to rank better. 2,913 top 10 rankings became 12,296, two new content areas grew against the declining domain trend, today carry a much larger share of the organic traffic and 400 % more organic leads.
The decisive lever was not more content at any price but the combination of search intent, content quality, topical relevance, internal structure and business potential. The right topics, the right pages, the better positions. That is exactly when organic search does what performance marketing is supposed to do: get more out of existing demand.
