Agentic Commerce: Product Data for Shopping and AI Agents
One set of data, two readers: Google Shopping today, AI agents tomorrow. Optimised product data and data-driven shopping campaigns make you visible in Google Shopping, Microsoft Shopping, on marketplaces and on comparison sites, right where people are ready to buy. The same data now has a second reader: AI agents that search, compare and buy for their users. We make sure both read your range completely and correctly.

What agentic commerce is and how an AI agent selects products
Agentic commerce means that a person no longer searches, compares and buys alone: an AI agent does it on their behalf. The person names the goal, the agent searches for products, compares offers, sends enquiries and buys where it is allowed to. AI shopping starts today in the assistants people already use.
An AI agent does not read advertising. It reads your product feed, your product detail page and the structured data on it, and it compares the three with each other: titles, attributes, price, availability, delivery terms. If feed and product detail page agree, the product makes it into the agent's selection. If they differ, if an attribute is missing or your shop blocks the agent, the product drops out without anyone noticing.
That is why product data marketing and agentic commerce belong together. Feed management, feed optimisation and Merchant Center for Google Shopping and Performance Max create exactly the data an agent needs; the PIM and the shop have to carry the same values. If you keep your product data clean for Google Shopping, most of the work for AI agents is already done.
What is still missing is what we check in the agent readiness check: which data an agent sees of your range, where it stops, and what has to be added so that it recommends your product.
Why now
Agent readiness check
Within three days you get a finding: what an agent sees of your range, where it stops, what is missing.
You receive a written finding with priorities and a call to go through it.
Whether agents recommend your range is something we measure in OWAPro™.
Questions and answers about product data and agentic commerce
What is agentic commerce?
Shopping where an AI agent searches, compares and buys on a person's behalf. The agent reads product data, prices, availability and terms from feed and product page and makes the shortlist. For you this means your range has to be machine-readable and consistent across every system.
Which product data do AI agents need?
The same data Google Shopping needs, applied consistently everywhere: unambiguous titles, complete attributes, current prices and stock, clear variant names and structured data on the product detail page. If the page differs from the feed, the agent stops trusting both.
Is my Google Shopping feed enough for AI agents?
As a basis, yes. On its own, no. An agent does not rely on the feed alone, it compares it with the product page and with what your shop shows. A good feed is the start; reconciling it with PIM, shop and page makes it usable for agents.
What does the agent readiness check cover?
What an agent sees of your range, where it stops and what is missing: feed, product detail pages, structured data, variants, prices and availability compared against each other. Within three days you get a written finding with priorities and a call to go through it.
How do I see whether sales come through AI agents?
Often not at all in pixel-based tools, because agents do not run JavaScript. OWAPro™ measures on your own server and reports visits and purchases through agents separately. That shows you whether agents recommend your range and what comes of it.
What is the difference between product data marketing and agentic commerce?
Product data marketing is the work on the product feed and the shopping campaigns: Merchant Center, feed optimisation, Google Shopping and Performance Max. Agentic commerce is the second reader of the same data: AI agents that search, compare and buy for people. Both rely on one set of data; the agent additionally reads the product detail page and the structured data on it.
Do I need a PIM so that AI agents can read my range?
Not necessarily. What matters is that shop, product feed and product detail page carry the same values. A PIM makes that easier because it is the one source for every reader. Without a PIM, feed rules and a regular data reconciliation take over that job; we set up both.
